ואוסיף עוד דוד ית כל בחורי ישראל תלתין אלפין:
alpyn thlthyn yshral bkhwry kl yth dwd ewd wawsyp
David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
2
וקם ואזל דוד וכל עמא די עמיה מקרויא מדבית יהודה לאסקא מתמן ית ארונא דיי דאיתקרי שמא שמא דיי צבאות דשכינתה שריא עיל מן כרוביא עלוהי:
elwhy krwbya mn eyl shrya dshkynthh tsbawth dyy shma shma daythqry dyy arwna yth mthmn lasqa yhwdh mdbyth mqrwya emyh dy ema wkl dwd wazl wqm
David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale Judah, to bring up from there God’s ark, which is called by the Name, even the name of Yahweh of Armies who sits above the cherubim.

ואחיתו ית ארונא דיי בעגלתא חדתא ונטלוהי מבית אבינדב די בגבעתא ועזא ואחיו בני אבינדב מדברין ית עגלתא חדתא:
khdtha egltha yth mdbryn abyndb bny wakhyw weza bgbetha dy abyndb mbyth wnTlwhy khdtha begltha dyy arwna yth wakhythw
They set God’s ark on a new cart, and brought it out of Abinadab’s house that was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.

ונטלוהי מבית אבינדב די בגבעתא עם ארונא דיי ואחיו אזיל קדם ארונא:
arwna qdm azyl wakhyw dyy arwna em bgbetha dy abyndb mbyth wnTlwhy
They brought it out of Abinadab’s house which was in the hill, with God’s ark; and Ahio went before the ark.

ודוד וכל בית ישראל משבחין קדם יי בכל אעי ברוון ובכינרין ובנבלין ובתפין וברביעין ובצלצלין:
wbtsltslyn wbrbyeyn wbthpyn wbnblyn wbkynryn brwwn aey bkl yy qdm mshbkhyn yshral byth wkl wdwd
David and all the house of Israel played before Yahweh with all kinds of instruments made of cypress wood, with harps, with stringed instruments, with tambourines, with castanets, and with cymbals.

ואתו עד אתר מתקן ואושיט עזה ידיה בארונא דיי ואחד ביה ארי מרגוהי תוריא:
thwrya mrgwhy ary byh wakhd dyy barwna ydyh ezh wawshyT mthqn athr ed wathw
When they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached for God’s ark and took hold of it, for the cattle stumbled.

ותקיף רוגזא דיי בעזה ומחהי תמן מימרא דיי על דאישתלי ומית תמן עם ארונא דיי:
dyy arwna em thmn wmyth dayshthly el dyy mymra thmn wmkhhy bezh dyy rwgza wthqyp
Yahweh’s anger burned against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by God’s ark.

ותקיף לדוד על דתרע יי תרעתא בעזה וקרא לאתרא ההוא אתרא דמית ביה עזה עד יומא הדין:
hdyn ywma ed ezh byh dmyth athra hhwa lathra wqra bezh thretha yy dthre el ldwd wthqyp
David was displeased because Yahweh had broken out against Uzzah; and he called that place Perez Uzzah to this day.

ודחיל דוד מן קדם יי ביומא ההוא ואמר איכדין יעול לותי ארונא דיי:
dyy arwna lwthy yewl aykdyn wamr hhwa bywma yy qdm mn dwd wdkhyl
David was afraid of Yahweh that day; and he said, “How could Yahweh’s ark come to me?”

ולא אבא דוד לאפנאה לותיה ית ארונא דיי לקרתא דדוד ואפניה דוד לבית עובד אדום גיתאה:
gythah adwm ewbd lbyth dwd wapnyh ddwd lqrtha dyy arwna yth lwthyh lapnah dwd aba wla
So David would not move Yahweh’s ark to be with him in David’s city; but David carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house.

ושרא ארונא דיי בבית עובד אדום גיתאה תלתא ירחין ובריך יי ית עובד אדום וית כל ביתיה:
bythyh kl wyth adwm ewbd yth yy wbryk yrkhyn thltha gythah adwm ewbd bbyth dyy arwna wshra
Yahweh’s ark remained in Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house three months; and Yahweh blessed Obed-Edom and all his house.

ואתחוא למלכא דוד למימר בריך יי ית בית עובד אדום וית כל דיליה בדיל ארונא דיי ואזל דוד ואסיק ית ארונא דיי מבית עובד אדום לקרתא דדוד בחדוא:
bkhdwa ddwd lqrtha adwm ewbd mbyth dyy arwna yth wasyq dwd wazl dyy arwna bdyl dylyh kl wyth adwm ewbd byth yth yy bryk lmymr dwd lmlka wathkhwa
King David was told, “Yahweh has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that belongs to him, because of God’s ark.” So David went and brought up God’s ark from the house of Obed-Edom into David’s city with joy.

והוה כד נטלו נטלי ארונא דיי שיתא זוגין ונכיס תור ופטים:
wpTym thwr wnkys zwgyn shytha dyy arwna nTly nTlw kd whwh
When those who bore Yahweh’s ark had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf.

ודוד משבח בכל תקוף קדם יי ודוד אסיר כרדוט דבוץ:
dbwts krdwT asyr wdwd yy qdm thqwp bkl mshbkh wdwd
David danced before Yahweh with all his might; and David was clothed in a linen ephod.

ודוד וכל בית ישראל מסקין ית ארונא דיי ביבבא ובקל שופרא:
shwpra wbql bybba dyy arwna yth msqyn yshral byth wkl wdwd
So David and all the house of Israel brought up Yahweh’s ark with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.

והוה ארונא דיי אתא לקרתא דדוד ומיכל בת שאול אסתכיאת מן חרכא וחזת ית מלכא דוד מרקד ומשבח קדם יי ובסרת עלוהי בלבה:
blbh elwhy wbsrth yy qdm wmshbkh mrqd dwd mlka yth wkhzth khrka mn asthkyath shawl bth wmykl ddwd lqrtha atha dyy arwna whwh
As Yahweh’s ark came into David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out through the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before Yahweh; and she despised him in her heart.

ואיתיאו ית ארונא דיי ואקימו יתיה באתריה בגו משכנא די פרס ליה דוד ואסיק דוד עלון קדם יי ונכסת קודשין:
qwdshyn wnksth yy qdm elwn dwd wasyq dwd lyh prs dy mshkna bgw bathryh ythyh waqymw dyy arwna yth waythyaw
They brought in Yahweh’s ark, and set it in its place in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Yahweh.

ושיצי דוד מלאסקא עלתא ונכסת קודשיא ובריך ית עמא בשמא דיי צבאות:
tsbawth dyy bshma ema yth wbryk qwdshya wnksth eltha mlasqa dwd wshytsy
When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Yahweh of Armies.

ופליג לכל עמא לכל המונא דישראל מגבר ועד אתתא לגבר גרצתא דלחם חדא ופלוג חד ומנתא חדא ואזל כל עמא גבר לביתיה:
lbythyh gbr ema kl wazl khda wmntha khd wplwg khda dlkhm grtstha lgbr aththa wed mgbr dyshral hmwna lkl ema lkl wplyg
He gave to all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, to everyone a portion of bread, dates, and raisins. So all the people departed, each to his own house.

ותב דוד לברכא ית אנש ביתיה ונפקת מיכל בת שאול לקדמות דוד ואמרת מה אתיקר יומא דין מלכא דישראל דאתגלי יומא דין לעיני אמהת עבדוהי כמא דחליץ ומתגלי חד מן סריקיא:
sryqya mn khd wmthgly dkhlyts kma ebdwhy amhth leyny dyn ywma dathgly dyshral mlka dyn ywma athyqr mh wamrth dwd lqdmwth shawl bth mykl wnpqth bythyh ansh yth lbrka dwd wthb
Then David returned to bless his household. Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious the king of Israel was today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of his servants’ maids, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”

ואמר דוד למיכל קדם יי די איתרעי בי מאבוך ומכל ביתיה לפקדא יתי למהוי מלכא על עמא דיי על ישראל ושבחית קדם יי:
yy qdm wshbkhyth yshral el dyy ema el mlka lmhwy ythy lpqda bythyh wmkl mabwk by aythrey dy yy qdm lmykl dwd wamr
David said to Michal, “It was before Yahweh, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of Yahweh, over Israel. Therefore I will celebrate before Yahweh.

וזעירנא עוד מדא ואהי מכיך בעיני נפשי מבכן ועם אמהתא די את אמרת בעיניהון אהי יקיר:
yqyr ahy beynyhwn amrth ath dy amhtha wem mbkn npshy beyny mkyk wahy mda ewd wzeyrna
I will be yet more undignified than this, and will be worthless in my own sight. But the maids of whom you have spoken will honor me.”
